Decoding the Unicorn, my biography of Dag Hammarskjöld, has been honored with a BookFest Award. It’s a moment that feels both humbling and affirming.
This book is more than a biography. Yes, it’s the result of research and reflection, but also what I can only describe as a collaboration across time and space with Dag himself. His life and legacy are often misunderstood and/or overlooked completely. I’m happy to do what I can to tell his story, which deserves to be communicated with care, honesty, and heart.
I’m grateful to The BookFest for recognizing the work, and I’m grateful to those of you who have supported this journey—whether by reading, sharing, or simply encouraging me to keep going.
